Hey there readers. I know it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. In fact, I haven’t done one since October. I’m sorry. I really haven’t been feeling it.
Even though it’s been a while, I still don’t have a lot to say but I thought I should go ahead and try so here I am.
Earlier this week, the wife and I had dinner at a new restaurant. Gordon Ramsey (yeah, the Hell’s Kitchen guy) opened up a new place here in town so we had made reservations as soon as we were able. For appetizers, we got a crab cake and some scotch eggs. I’m not a huge fan of scotch eggs but that crab cake was amazing! For dinner, the wife ordered Gordon’s signature dish, the Beef Wellington and I ordered fish and chips (I had to try out some Gordon Ramsey fish and chips). Unfortunately, the wife was not impressed overall with the Wellington. She said that the beef itself was fine but the overall product was lacking. Sad. I did really enjoy my fish and chips though.
Also, taco trucks am I right. They are so good. There is one down the street that I’ve got to twice now. I have begun to realize more and more that, if the taco doesn’t come from a taco truck, it’s really not worth eating.
Well, that’s it for now. Let me return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Track of the Week
Churned out another episode of Rebel Rock Radio this week. I was joined again by JD (@rodeorock71) as we took a look back at the Disney Plus TV show Andor. We also played tunes from Glimmer, The Wind-Ups, and Palm Ghosts. Check out the replay of the livestream below or check out the various audio platforms at www.rebelrockradio.com.
Dave put out another episode of One Band 5 Songs this week. He did an episode about the Portland, Oregon-based band The Epoxies. Check it out on Spotify.
Another podcast that I wanted to mention was Grave Reviews. Alan does a podcast where he talks (mostly) about horror movies. This week, he did a Xmas themed episode where he and Dragon Buddy talked about last year’s amazing Xmas movie, Violent Night. Check it out on YouTube!
As you know (or maybe you don’t if you’re new) I sing for a band called Get Fired. Well, we finally played a show. It was the first show since before we split up due to my move to Michigan. Interestingly enough, the show that we did was on November 20 which was, TO THE DAY, 2 years since we played our last show. Anyway, the performance was actually a complete disaster. Right as we began to play, Wyatt the guitar player realized that the speaker in his guitar amp blew out. We did, however, soldier on and try to get through the set with a quiet guitar. Alas, we did not play our entire set because at one point in the performance I realized that nobody could hear the guitar at all. So we packed it in. Despite not being able to hear most of the music, the folks there watching us seemed to be into what we were doing and afterwards asked when we would be playing again.
Also in Get Fired news, we are going to be adding a second guitar player. We are going to try a dual guitar dynamic again and see if we can make this stuff sound even more interesting.
Godzilla Minus One - Saw this one in the theater Saturday. It was quite good. If you are a fan of Godzilla movies, definitely check it out. However, I must warn you that if you are NOT a fan of movies with subtitles, you won’t like this.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes - I wouldn’t say that I’m a huge fan of the Hunger Games franchise but I can say that I like it enough to have wanted to watch the prequel. I was not impressed. That is to say, I did not like this movie.
Also, it’s “that” time of year again so make sure you go out and watch this one:
I am terribly behind on my Star Wars comic book reading. To be fair, I am behind on my reading in general. Lately, I have been listening to the audiobook of Return of the Jedi: From a Certain Point of View. I finished this one yesterday. Now I’m just going to spend the rest of the year trying to get caught up on my comic book reading.
This time around, I’m going to post my most listened to artists of the year (according to Last.fm).
That’s it for this issue. Thanks for reading and remember to BE MORE KIND!
