Hello again readers. Time for another Monday of gibberish. And for those of you new to this thing, this thing is a mix of various topics. New music releases, comics I’ve been reading, podcast stuff, and other miscellaneous garbage.
It’s meant to be a light, quick read. Just perfect for those with short attentions spans. If you’d like to see what other mischief I get into, you can follow me on Facebook, Threads, and Instagram. Also, check out my podcast Rebel Nerd Radio (which you’ll see more about down below).
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Once you go down that rabbit hole, it’s all downhill from there.
On a somber note, I learned this morning that Pope Francis died yesterday. I have to admit that I am a little sad. I’m not Catholic….well, I’m not sure I can consider myself Catholic anymore that is. I was. I was an adult convert into the faith. I just don’t think I’m there anymore. Anyway, I liked Pope Francis. He seemed like a good pope to me. I liked his overall worldview. I’m curious who they are going to get to replace him and whether or not the next one will have the same worldview that Francis did.
R.I.P. Pope Francis

Fire Power Vol. 2: Home Fire by Robert Kirkman
Avengers: Time Runs Out by Jonathan Hickman
Also, outside of comic books, I started the Star Wars book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire by Chris Kempshall. It’s going to take me a while to finish this one. I’m reading it in small batches. Not because it isn’t interesting but because it’s not a comic book and my attention span sucks.
Sinners. I wasn’t terribly impressed with it. I didn’t hate it. It wasn’t Madame Web bad. It just wasn’t all that great. I think I was expecting something else. The acting in the film was really good I think. The premise was interesting (which is why I went and saw the movie in the first place). I just don’t think it was executed very well. I dunno. I hope other people enjoy it more than I did.
On Rebel Nerd Radio, I was joined by Blue while JD is in Japan. We talked about Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
The guys over at Punk Lotto Pod did an episode about the 2009 Dear Landlord album Dream Homes.
The track for this week is a cover of The Offsprings "Want You Bad” as performed by Bite Me Bambi from their new album Eat This.
SUBSTACK SHOUT OUT OF THE WEEK
“We live in a broken world. We are divided, fractured, isolated, unraveling at the seams. We feel angry, disillusioned, disconnected. We hate our neighbors, we worship money, we are obsessed with temporary pleasures, we distrust strangers. We are like this in large part because we live in a society that exalts the individual over the collective. In fact, the collective is negated almost entirely. Society is built around the concept that you protect you and yours, and that you don’t owe anyone else anything at all.”
That wraps another week of this nonsense. See you next week.
