How’s it going readers?
This week was just kind of meh. I wouldn’t necessarily say that it was a boring week. There was some stuff going on but nothing really terribly exciting to write about.
March is going to be a good month for movies. The new Dune movie officially releases today (see below). The new Ghostbusters comes out later in the month. The new Godzilla and Kong movie comes out toward the end of the month. There’s a sequel to the movie Megamind coming out this month. I probably won’t go see that one in the theater but I might when it hits streaming. It’s weird because it doesn’t have any of the original cast in it.
See? Kind of boring this week. Crazy that it’s already March though. This year is rushing by.
Anyway….if you’re not too bored by this intro, go ahead and read on…

READING STUFF
The only book to hit my comic book pull list this week was Thrawn Alliances #2.
I am still working on the Bendis run of Daredevil. I’ve made it through volume 1 so far.
GAMING STUFF
I have nothing for you here. I played no video games. I did go to the game store Monday to play some Vast Grimm but we barely played. We mostly rambled on about what new games we are going to start playing on Monday nights. There is a rumor that one of the guys is going to start running a Star Wars RPG so I’m pretty psyched for if that happens.
FOOD STUFF
I don’t really have anything interesting to talk about on here either. We didn’t go to any new places this week. I went to a Carls Jr earlier this week so there was that. It wasn’t great. Last weekend, the youngest offspring and I went to an IHOP. I had their spinach and mushroom omelette. That’s the one they make with the hollandaise. It was good. Yeah, I’ve got nothing else.
SPORTS STUFF
Liverpool was in 2 tournament games this week. On Sunday, they played Chelsea in the EFL Cup Final. I drove to Oklahoma City to go to a soccer pub to watch that one. They (Liverpool) won in extra time. On Wednesday, they were in round 5 of the FA Cup against Southampton. Liverpool won that one 3-0. They play a regular season game on Saturday at 9am against Nottingham Forest. I will probably go to the soccer pub again to watch that one. It is a lot more fun to watch soccer matches around other people rather than just sitting at home and watch them. No big surprise there.
STUFF I WATCHED
I watched a bunch of movies this week but most of them were on streaming and some were older movies that I rewatched. For instance, after watching that MLK/X miniseries I got the wild hair to rewatch the Malcolm X movie with Denzel Washington. Speaking of Denzel, I also watched a movie of his that I have never seen before. It was called American Gangster. I did not realize that this was based on a true story. It was interesting. My youngest and I also decided to watch The Muppet Movie. Those movies are great. I don’t care what anybody says. I also watched the Jennifer Lawrence movie No Hard Feelings. I’m kind of glad that I never saw that one in theater. It was just okay. I also rewatched Happy Gilmore.
The one movie that I did see in the theater this week was Dune Part Two. Amazing movie. Visually spectacular and the score, like the first one, was just outstanding.
I also picked back up on my rewatch of the Daredevil TV series. I finished season 2 and then decided to start rewatching The Defenders before I picked back up with season 3.
TRACK OF THE WEEK
This week, I’m taking a track from the newly released Ministry album Hopiumforthemasses. It was released today. I used to listen to Ministry quite a bit back in the 90s but their albums started to…I dunno….kind of bore me. A couple of months ago, I got wind of the first single to come from this album and it reminded me of the Ministry of old. Anyway, this is a song from that new album. Enjoy.
That’s all I have this week. Have a great weekend and remember to BE MORE KIND!
