The Left Hand Jubilee Jamboree
Issue #142: "The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil."
Ahoy readers! Welcome back to another week of hogwash.
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Pope Francis died. With the death of one pope of course we get the election of a new one. The new pope was elected on May 8th, on the 2nd day of the election conclave. He is Pope Leo XIV. He is the first pope to be elected that was born in the United States. He was born in Chicago. And apparently he is a White Sox fan! He seems like a decent guy so far for the most part. Time will tell how he holds up to Pope Francis.
I am still getting used to working those 10 hour days. The days feel so long.
Also, it feels like it has been a while since I’ve posted a picture of one of the kittys so here’s Leia for you.

Other Reads:
I decided to try and start catching up on the current run of X comics. I started reading them when they first came out but after only 2 issues, the X comics were victims of the unemployment purge so I’m really behind. Saturday night, I read Vol. 1 of X-Men by Jed MacKay, titled Homecoming.
I went to the theater on Tuesday on my day off and saw Thunderbolts* again.
That’s it for theater stuff. Outside of that, I started watching The Walking Dead again. I picked up where I left off the last time I was trying to finish the series. I’m feeling some deja vu. I feel like I might have mentioned starting to watch it in a previous issue of this thing……
Aha! I did say something about it. Way back in issue #9 in March 2022 I said that I had started watching the show again. I must not have gotten too far back then when I was watching because I’m still in the same season that I mentioned that I was watching back then. That is, season 9. If I can remember to, I’ll keep you all updated on how far I’m getting each week.
On Rebel Nerd Radio, we covered episodes 4, 5, and 6 of Andor Season 2.
And I did another episode of The Comic Den with Spencer yesterday (Sunday). We discussed our favorite independent comic books.
SUBSTACK SHOUT OUT OF THE WEEK
I might have already done a shout out for this one before but if so I’m doing it again because Dave is doing some interesting stuff this past week. He is listing out his favorite albums of the 21st century. Go check it out.
That’s it for this week kids. Hope you come back. If you’d like to engage with me elsewhere, find me on Threads, Instagram, and Twix. Until then, enjoy your week!
And don’t forget that May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Be Kind to Your Mind.
Thanks for the shoutout!
